I had read a lot about the quality of CZ pistols, but couldn't get my hands on one to try out. Finally, I decided to pull the trigger (pun intended) and buy the Shadow as a Christmas present to myself. My first shot at 7 yards hit the bullseye. I've been very pleased with the gun and hope to add a compact to my collection at some point. Much thanks to the folk at CZCustom who made this a great experience.

Ergonomics are superb; recoil control is amazing, given it's an all-steel gun and plenty hefty (3 lbs. fully loaded); the trigger is smooth as butter, and trigger reset is minimal; target acquisition is very fast; it points very naturally; the grip is great, although it can be reduced with thin aluminum grips; awesome capacity (18+1, although some people put 19 in the magazines); tactical rail for lasers and lights; I like the fact that I can carry cocked and locked; ambidextrous safety operates well. I wouldn't conceal carry, given the size and weight. This is a magnificent pistol. I've fallen in love.

I purchased this pistol, and it showed up 3 days later. Figuring I would need a few hundred rounds to break it in, I was surprised. The first magazine and the slide was unbelievably smooth, and the accuracy is nothing short of impressive!

First chance I got I took this to the range, gotta say wow!!!. Highest priced pistol i've ever bought but what a bargain, soaks up recoil extremely well, Was more accurate at 15 yds then I normally am at 7 yds. Only downside for me is i'm thinking about swapping out to a thinner grip but thats no big deal can't make a grip that fits everyone. Highly recommend. I have several pistols I use for competition and this by far is the best. Extremely accurate out of the box all shots were within a 1/2 circles. Due to the custom work the recoil is even less allowing for accuracy in subsequent shots. I highly recommend to the expert as well as the novice. If a novice or new to competition it is a great first comp gun, it does allow you to become a better shot. It is on my recommend to buy list. Lastly, the custom shop customer service is polite and knowledgable. They treat the beginner with the same courtesy they would an expert. The sales reps. don't make you feel stupid if you have novice questions. They are the type of sales people you can feel comfortable asking any question. I highly recommend the weapon and the custom shop.

This is an unbelievable firearm. My first time out at the range today and was completely amazed with the feel, balance and accuracy. I was shooting sub-2" groupings. I am not an accomplished pistol shooter, but this pistol makes me look like a pro. This pistol lives up to it's reputation.

Finally got to the range. Shot this last. Brought an immediate smile to my face. Great shooting, gerat sights and hits where I aim. Now if only my eyes were better. With this pistol I should do some bullseye shooting. May seem pricey but, I think it's a bargain. Great service from Ghost Products, too.

Fired my new shadow today and all that came to mind was AWESOME! this thing shoots even better than it looks. Great trigger, very smooth cycle and crazy accurate, the ergonomics with the stock rubber grips fit like a glove. Defiantly my new favorite 9mm, can't wait to shoot it again.

I get this gun, as is, without upgrades offered on this website, about 6 months ago and it's above expectation. I compare Shadow with my other guns - from Glocks type to the hi end 1911 (Les Baer)and can say that Shadow is perfect 9 mm gun, very ergonomic, feel naturall in hand and very accurate. I tested it with 14 diferent brands of ammo (115, 124 and 147 gn) and from my several range visits and about 850 rounds I did not have ANY problem. ANY ! I even shoot couple bullseye matches with it and get acceptable result. Great relaible gun. Will recommend to the friends.

After many various metal and polymer frame guns, I found the perfect gun for me. This gun out of the box is great. The only thing that I will be modifying on the pistol in the near future is the installation of a single action trigger (personal preference). After a few thousand dry firings the double action is smooth as butter, and the single action is crisp as the dickens. The pistol is more accurate than the factory included test target as well.

I recently was fortunate enough to buy this pistol and I can not say enough good things about it. This gun is the Roll Royce of the pistol market. I have handled and fired many types of weapons over the years and there is something special about this one. VERY accurate with little muzzle flip and fast target acquisition. The money that you would have to put into a standard 75 to match the performance of this gun would far outweigh the price on this particular gun. Don't settle for less. At this price you get one amazing piece.

I purchased this pistol after firing a standard SP01 a few weeks ago. The Shadow is my new favorite pistol. I would highly recommend it. The upgrades are definitely worth the extra money over the standard/tactical SP01.

Picked up my Shadow tonight!! HOLY CRAP!!!!! this thing was shooting 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch groups right out of the box!!!! SWEEEET!!! Im not sure if this gun even needs a trigger job..I couldnt be happier with this gun! Thanks for changing out the spring for me! Something different - holding a full size, all metal firearm. Feels like driving a euro-sedan vs. a Camry. Shoots that way as well. I ended up putting a bit more recoil spring in mine - to handle commercial loads with less muzzle flip. Trigger is wonderful. Ergonomics are great. My "prize"" amongst my 9mm without a doubt. Now if I could just find a threaded barrel.

As a newcomer to everything shooting I took a lot of time to fire a lot of pistols, and I finally decided on the Shadow. It is very comfortable, light recoil, and amazingly accurate right out of the box. But the best part of the experience was dealing with Angus's shop of well-trained and friendly people. We will be back!
